How it all started

Beer, the most common alcoholic beverage in the world. You see it at parties, restaurants, concerts, sporting events, and the list goes on and on.

How did it originate?

Well, beer was first made in around 9000 bc, in the early Neolithic period.

There have writings found from ancient Egypt, and the Mesopotamians on beer. It was so important to the ancient egyptians that they created a prayer to the goddess Ninsaki. The lyrics include the process of making the beer, since writing it down would be useless since most ancient egyptians were illiterate.
